Ballads - Poet and Scholar

"Master, where's the book? I simply must read the new ballads the court minstrels have composed!"

"In time, in time, Poet. You've yet to finish today's lesson."

"Just one verse?"

"Alas, I will let you persuade me thus. One verse, Poet. One verse, no more."

But of course one verse would become two, and hours would be chased away before the literary lessons were returned to.

Here's the Scholar, also known as my desktop bamboo plant! I had a lot of fun designing him, though it was pretty hard at first because I couldn't think of a hairstyle.

I redid the Poet's design a little, so it evokes more of the poinsettia connection. I imagine these two travel together having wandering funtimes telling stories and recording lore.
